LONELY CHILD CHALLENGE

           The FAMILY:
·         main sim must be a child sim (gender doesn’t matter)
·         must have two parents (gender doesn’t matter)
·         parents must hate each other and sleep in different rooms
·         parent 1 must have a lover that parent 2 doesn’t know about
·         parent 2 must be a workaholic or rarely home
·         parents may not have a good relationship with child sim

The MONEY AND HOUSE:
·         house must be built on a bulldozed 20 x 15 lot
·         cannot be luxurious (i.e. no pools, no second floor, no basement)
·         3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and 1 kitchen required
·         set money to 7,000 and use that to furnish the home
·         set money to 500 after home is furnished to pay the first house bill
·         as money is earned, the parent’s rooms must be furnished first
·         then, the kitchen / living area / bathroom / study
·         child items cannot be purchased until the rest of the house is complete

The PARENTS:
·         give parent 2 a job of your choice; they must be promoted on their own
·         find parent 1 a lover and use the relationship cheat to max their romance out
·         parents cannot be played except to make dinner for the child, repair items and pay bills
·         parent 2 can be controlled briefly to be sent off the lot on days off
·         parent 1 must have mean, materialistic, and hot-headed traits
·         parent 2 must have mean, hates children, and snob traits.
·         parent's must not die; have autonomy set on high for non-selected sims so they care for themselves
·         set lifespan to long; the parents cannot divorce and must hate each other

The CHILD:
·         sim must be a child sim; cannot be dressed lavishly
·         sim cannot interact with YA, adults, or elderly
·         sim can only “sneak off” the lot at night (8pm to 8am)
·         cannot have a friendly / good relationship with parents
·         cannot invite friends from school to the lot with the home
·         cannot use cellphone, as parents would not pay the bill
·         the sim cannot be force aged up and cannot have a birthday party
·         when the sim is a teen, the challenge is won as the sim can move out

The POINTS:
·         not having parent 2 discover parent 1’s lover: +50
·         furnishing parent bedroom fully: +20 each room
·         furnishing any other room fully: +35 each room
·         each child item bought (not including bed) : +5 each
·         each friend the child sim makes: +15 each
·         making it to teen and moving out: +50

The ROOMS:
·         PARENT BEDROOMS MUST CONTAIN TO BE “FULLY FURNISHED”:
o   1 two-person bed
o   1 nightstand
o   1 dresser
o   1 plant
o   1 light source
o   at least 3 wall decorations
o   at least 3 pieces of clutter
·         KITCHEN MUST CONTAIN TO BE “FULLY FURNISHED”:
o   at least 4 counters
o   1 fridge
o   1 stove
o   1 smoke detector
o   1 sink
o   1 trash can
·         LIVING ROOM MUST CONTAIN TO BE “FULLY FURNISHED”:
o   at least 1 couch
o   at least 2 armchairs or 1 loveseat
o   1 coffee table
o   1 television with value higher than $1000
o   1 rug
o   at least 1 plant
o   at least 3 wall decorations or pieces of clutter
·         DINING ROOM MUST CONTAIN TO BE “FULLY FURNISHED”:
o   1 table with at least 3 seats
o   1 rug
o   at least one plant
o   at least 3 wall decorations or pieces of clutter
·         BATHROOM MUST CONTAIN TO BE “FULLY FURNISHED”:
o   1 toilet
o   1 shower
o   1 sink
o   1 mirror
o   at least 3 wall decorations or pieces of clutter
·         STUDY MUST CONTAIN TO BE “FULLY FURNISHED”:
o   1 desk
o   3 chairs
o   1 computer
o   1 chess table
o   1 bookshelf
o   1 skill building object (i.e. easel or woodworking table)
·         CHILD ROOM MUST CONTAIN TO BE “FULLY FURNISHED”:
o   1 bed
o   1 dresser
o   1 nightstand
o   1 toy box (with at least 6 toys in it)
o   1 desk for homework
o   1 rug
o   at least 3 pieces of wall decorations
o   at least 3 pieces of clutter
